A collaboration for MVRK HAUS's project Future In Our Hands: graphics applied to the takeaway cups used in the venue, together with the video content accompanying them.

The drawing departs from a New Year's card illustration produced for 2026. The figure of the horse was adapted to the cylindrical surface of the cup and reconstructed so that, as the cup is held and turned in the hand, the pattern connects, breaks, and circulates. A single drawing is carried into another medium and used again.

The video follows the places the cup comes to rest. Hands holding the cup in differing locations and situations cross in rapid succession, compressing the process by which a single object disperses into countless scenes of daily life. The sequence is composed entirely of AI-generated imagery, with the original drawing applied across it.

The cup leaves the venue and goes anywhere. Upon an object that travels while held in the hand, a single graphic comes to rest in all of those places.
